Break It Up!
Last year, the AAA estimated that 41.9 million Americans traveled over the July 4th holiday, the most in eight years. Given that the cost of a gallon of gas remains at recent near-record lows, that number will likely be matched—or exceeded—this year.
That’s good, because research tells us that we need to take a vacation, especially in our increasingly wired society. Whether traveling domestically, internationally or simply enjoying a “staycation,” we need to allow ourselves to shut down for a while.
A change in scenery and routine often leaves us invigorated and inspired, but even a few days at home, disconnected from our usual routines and habits, can be beneficial. Any opportunity to meditate and be mindful benefits our health and well-being.
Feng Shui stresses the power of mindfulness to transform our lives. Our retreats in the Rangeley Lakes region of Maine feature daily mediation sessions beside crystal blue waters, where you can literally and figuratively get away from life’s everyday stressors. If you’ve been putting off your vacation plans, I invite you to attend our three-day, women-only “Create” retreat in September. Learn more about this event designed to help you relax, recharge and re-envision your life and discover how you can get the most out of your vacation days—and every day in between.
We have wonderful updates to the SRT retreat and a few spots left. Contact me if you are interested in a wonderful adventure.
